USW 2011 International Convention

Sisters and Brothers,

This time last week at our convention, our Union proudly proclaimed that we are ready to accept the challenge of leading the way as we stand up and fight back in the United States and Canada.

Leading the tough fights is what Steelworkers have always done, as our video “The Fighting Spirit” shows. Watch the video, pass it on, sign the pledge (En Français) and get others to sign, too.

It’s up to us to stand and fight for a better economy, good jobs, fair trade, safe workplaces, affordable health care and the right to collective bargaining. Our convention re-energized us, reminded us that we’re not alone in this battle and taught us that we can’t afford not to get in the ring.
