Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. locked out 1,050 members of USW Local 207L in Findlay, Ohio. - Thursday, December 15, 2011
Sisters and Brothers,
Right after Thanksgiving, on November 28, 2011, Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. locked out 1,050 members of USW Local 207L in Findlay, Ohio.
These men and women offered to stay on the job as contract negotiations moved forward, but the company refused and kicked its longtime workers to the curb.
The company wants to cry broke, but workers say it is greed – not need – that is driving the company’s campaign. Click here to watch our new video showing how Cooper Tire workers got scrooged this holiday season.
Then sign our petition telling Cooper Tire to end the lock out now and bring back our USW sisters and brothers, who have given so much to help get the company back on its feet and earn more than $300 million since 2009.
Watch the video, sign the petition and pass it on. Tell Cooper Tire that it’s flat wrong to lock out our members and bring in out-of-state, inexperienced temporary replacement workers.
In this season of giving, watch, sign and share to help these hardworking families in one of the toughest fights of their lives.
Thanks for all you do, and enjoy the holidays.
